You will need to bring a small class piece to work on, which means something like a small side table – keep your option no bigger than 3 to 4 feet in size. I want you to be able to finish an entire piece of furniture before you leave, so the pieces need to be small enough to complete in our class time parameter. 

I will provide you with a variety of chalkpaint colors, brushes, Amy Howard Furniture Cleaner, assorted decoupage papers, variety and packs of image transfers, decoupage medium and poly top coat. We’ll cover how to clean/prep furniture, how to paint and cover your surfaces smoothly, learn the difference between wet and dry distressing and have a great time while we tackle these fabulous furniture pieces! 

*Please come in a full outfit you’re ok with getting some paint on. Aprons are available for use, but it can be messy, so it’s best to not wear your favorite pair of jeans and T – even shoes should be practical and low key. 

**I’ll post a few great project pieces to help give you some ideas of what types of project(s) pieces to bring in – just to clarify, you will do ONE complete piece. I’ve even done faux leather ottomans, small toy chests, wood lamp bases and so much more! I often find my small pieces of furniture at yard sales, and thrift shops. However, my favorite place to pick up pieces is on Facebook Marketplace. Try to pick pieces that are real wood, not laminate or vaneer.
